Semrush’s money-back guarantee is narrower than many people expect. It covers a one-time, 7-day window for an initial subscription with a commitment of 12 months or longer, or an initial add-on, bought on Semrush.com with a credit card. Monthly plans, renewals, and trials that convert to a paid monthly plan are excluded, and canceling does not request a refund by itself.
If Semrush denies the refund
Most denials cite one of the policy limits. Check which one, then answer it with dates.
- “Outside the 7 days”: show the date and time of your first written request, including any chat transcript.
- “Monthly plans are not refundable”: correct under the policy. If a trial converted without a clear price or date, say so and ask for a goodwill refund.
- “You canceled but did not request a refund”: if your written cancellation asked for money back in any words, quote it.
- “Charged after canceling”: send the cancellation confirmation and the charge date. Semrush asks you to report the timing to support.
